Five STEP Academy students were inducted into the Minnesota Honor Society on Thursday, October 27th. We were proud to honor: Kamelo Jama (10th Grade), Abdullahi Omar (10th Grade), Ayub Shaikh (10th Grade), Firdows Dayub (10th Grade), and Idil Abdi (11th Grade). These students qualified for the Honor Society by earning a GPA of 3.0 or higher, demonstrated volunteer or service hours, preserved an excellent record of behavior both in and out of school, and participated in leadership roles in school and/or community activities. Mrs Henley and Ms. Bartlett are the STEP Academy Honor Society advisors.
Minnesota Honor Society requires that inductees uphold the principles of good character, morality, and ethics, maintain a GPA of a 3.0 or better, seek out and participate in leadership roles, and make voluntary service contributions to the school or community without compensation and with a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
